Biography

After Graduating from Brighton with a degree in fashion textile design I moved to Paris to work as a design assistant for Jean Charles de Castelbajac.  At the same time I began designing collections of creative innovative knit in my studio. My first knitwear project was bought by Azzedine Alaia which launched my career as a fashion knitwear design consultant.  In 1993 I started working for Kenzo as the knitwear designer for Jungle and Jeans and continued producing capsule collections for other luxury brands in Paris such as Balenciaga, Chloe, Martine Sitbon, Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Lacroix.

In 1999 I started teaching at CSM on BA Fashion Design: Womenswear as a visiting tutor. In 2006 I became the BA Fashion Design: Knit Pathway Leader whilst continuing my career as a knitwear designer working for Cacharel, Versace and other brands.

In 2016 I replaced Willie Walters as Course Leader on BA Fashion Design.
