I have been working in the design industry since graduating as an Automotive Transportation Designer at Coventry University. My career has been equally split between global design consultancies and corporate in-house cross disciplinary teams.
It was through some large transportation projects that I became focused upon user experiences as a catalyst for design implementation. However, my scope of design experience extended into several product areas including consumer electronics and 3D branding, where I led several teams that delivered strategic and tactical design projects. My instinct is to innovate which enabled me to deliver a range of strategic ‘future vision’ projects within Samsung. These projects became the hub of communication between the design team and the marketing divisions, enabling collaboration between the divisions that realized the full value of design within the corporate business.
Most recently, as Senior Head of Service Design at Telefonica Digital, I was fortunate to lead a team of digital designers across multiple sites to deliver products that are defining new ways to communicate as our behaviours evolve. I continue to be involved with the integration of physical and digital product development.
