Biography

I am an artist and co-founder of Five Years; an artist-led space in London active since 1998.

I work primarily with the media of painting and drawing but is also engaged with collaborative projects involving writing, film, performance and sound. This includes an ACE funded project with the experimental writer Paul Curran. My work draws on fantastic and supernatural fiction and the strands in psychology, literary theory and contemporary philosophy that engage explicitly with problematics of horror, fetishism, transgression and crises of subjectivity. Recent exhibitions include Kunstverein Heppenheim, Germany; MAG3, Vienna and Autocenter, Berlin. Drawings from the “Cast” series are currently in the national touring exhibition ‘3am’, commissioned by the Bluecoat, Liverpool. My writing has been published in Turps and Filmwaves magazines.
