Biography

I am a storyteller and performer based in London. After graduating from York University I studied acting at the Webber Douglas Academy (now part of Central School of Speech and Drama). I worked in theatre for several years, touring and in the West End, before discovering performance storytelling in 2013. I trained with Ben Haggerty and Nell Phoenix. I perform in theatres, at festivals, in schools and museums, solo and as part of wider collaborations. I have worked with gourd breaking organisations like The Crick Crack Club and co-produced the sell-out storytelling cabaret show Women Who Gave No F***s.

As well as a teacher and facilitator at UAL, I have worked at Winchester School of Art, Liverpool Hope University and for charities such as Routes, Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, Studio 2909 and others. I believe that as well as being a performance art form, storytelling skills can help develop skills such as deep listening, collaboration, problem solving and confidence.
