Biography

I am an architectural designer, educator and a founding director of the architecture studio LLRRLLRR. Architecture plays a central role in LLRRLLRR’s practice not only as a goal, but as a means of investigation. This means our projects span across installations, buildings, exhibition making and text production and that often our projects are self-initiated.

I am most interested in informality in spatial practices, the politics of spatial production and material cultures. Recently, I was a part of the team designing and co-building a public play garden made of rammed earth in Tallinn, Estonia and initiating the project Weak Monument. Architectures Beyond the Plinth, which included curating and designing an exhibition and publishing a book on how architecture can be political implicitly and explicitly (Park Books, 2018).

Before setting up my own practice, I worked at East architecture, landscape, urban design ltd focussing on large residential and public realm projects in London.

As well as teaching at CSM, I supervise MA thesis projects at the Estonian Academy of Arts and I am part of the team setting up a new international Architecture Department at the Art Academy of Latvia.
