Jenny Postle-Cope is Pathway Leader for Knitted Textiles on BA Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
Jenny is a knitwear designer, consultant and educator with over 15 years of experience working across luxury and commercial fashion. Her career has included roles at Missoni in Italy, Barrie Knitwear for Chanel in Scotland and Jaeger in London, alongside senior consultancy work for Mr P at Mr Porter. Most recently, she was Lead Designer at Sheep Inc., working across design, product development and responsible knitwear production.
Alongside her industry practice, Jenny has taught extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has worked with students at Central Saint Martins, the Royal College of Art, Kingston University and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, among others.
Her practice is rooted in a deep understanding of knitted textiles, combining creative experimentation with technical knowledge, material development and industry experience. As an educator, she is particularly interested in helping students develop creative confidence, translate ideas into innovative knitted outcomes and understand the possibilities of contemporary knit design and production.
