Biography

I am co-leader of Vertical Studio 12 on BA Architecture year 2 and 3, with a theme exploring mutual aid as a force for community led spatial production and urban change. I am Associate Director and RIBA-chartered architect at DK-CM, a practice of architects, researchers and strategists who work in public to create spatial, environmental and social change.

I have previously taught at the University of Cambridge MPhil Architecture & Urban Design course, am Practice Mentor at the London School of Architecture and have previously served as a Mentor with the Royal Institute of British Architects. I was a founding coordinator of the Architecture Climate Action Network’s Natural Materials group. My MPhil thesis received the Alexander Pike Prize for Sustainability from the University of Cambridge, and was nominated for the RIBA Silver Medal.

Outside of architecture I run an organic small-holding in Essex, where I am a Parish Councillor involved in writing a Neighbourhood Plan, and Committee Member and Secretary of the Residents Association on the community-owned estate where I live.
