I am an award-winning designer specialising in the creation of narrative environments. Inspired by the various ways that story can map on to space to create compelling and memorable experiences my approach to teaching and practice is to seek-out innovative ways to truly immerse visitors within the world of the story.
I practice as a freelance designer and have worked with a variety of design studios, cultural institutions, festivals and clients including RAA, Event, Science Gallery, Secret Cinema and Punchdrunk. I led the design of ‘SEEING’, a world-touring exhibition for Science Gallery Dublin (currently showing at Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Lima, Peru) which won an Irish Design Award and was selected for the 100 Archive.
Recently I have worked with RAA as the senior exhibition designer on ‘Listen Now Again’, an exhibition about poet Seamus Heaney from the National Library of Ireland, which opened in Summer 2018 in Dublin. As a musician myself, I have an ongoing passion in developing immersive music experiences that use multi-platform storytelling.
