Interview

Why did you choose to study BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins (CSM)?

I had heard about Central Saint Martins previous and knew I wanted to study graphic design & illustration so I applied and luckily got in!

What have you been working on since graduating?

I’ve been working with some of my dream clients like The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian and Apple.

What was the most interesting project you worked on during your time on the course?

The project I remember the most is one of the first projects we did on the course. We had to pick a place in London and do project about that place. I picked Bar Italia in Soho and did a foldout postcard telling the history of the coffee bar.

This is the most interesting projects to me because it was my first introduction to the course and Central Saint Martins. We had a few weeks to do the project and I remember feeling very insecure and scared but by the end I felt very proud of what I manage to make. After this project I knew I was going to enjoy my studies at CSM.

What important piece of advice would you give to students thinking of studying this course?

If you have the opportunity and the means, give it a try! Try to enjoy it as much as possible, try out many things, and connect with the other students because they will be working together with you in the industry afterwards.

What was the highlight of your Central Saint Martins experience?

My classmates! To be able to study together with so many people from all around the world is very inspiring and a learning experience.

What is the most important thing you learnt on the course?

To be kind and supportive of your colleagues. You are in this together.
