Biography

After gaining a BA (Hons) in Acting, I worked as an actor for five years before training as a voice teacher at the Central School of Speech and Drama, where I gained my MA in voice.

I also teach at East 15, The Central School of Speech and Drama and on the The Italia Conti BA Acting Course. I also coach actors and business people privately.

I teach Voice and Text. My aim is to help the individual find a truthful connection to language through freedom of the body, breath, resonance and muscularity of articulation.

My belief is that language is a profoundly physical process, born out of the wish to express wants, needs and desires. I believe that many people today are disconnected from the words they speak, keeping them solely in their heads. Through simple physical exercises we can allow language to sit deep down within the body, enabling us to connect to and affect others with the words we speak.
