Biography

I am the Curriculum Leader in Fine Art, and also teach in the Sculpture pathway.

I have been working on the Foundation course since 1999. I attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago under scholarship, graduating with an MFA in 1989. Since then I have shown in London and the UK, as well as the USA, the Middle East and Japan where I undertook a 3-month residency.

My work utilises a wide range of materials and scales, both real and virtual, but underpinning these methods is an enquiry into how matter, objects, spaces and events interact to produce given forms and states. My interests consequently cross over into other fields, often within science.

I set up the Tram Depot gallery in 2005, and have curated exhibitions involving more than 100 artists. I completed my PGCE in 2006.
