Biography
Richard Smith's main practice is currently as a photographer and computer graphics artist exploring the creation of virtual environments by utilising his experience and knowledge of photographing the physical world within the virtual.
He is currently the Technical Manager for the graphic design programme working across all its courses helping support and coordinate delivery at Camberwell and Chelsea.
Before his roles within technical management he was a visiting lecturer on the graphic design programme at London College of Communication and then on BA Fine Art Photography at Camberwell College of Arts.
Prior to working in education he was a commercial photographer working within advertising, design, and editorial fields. He was a specialist in the 19th century bromoil printing process and used it in commercial settings.
