Camberwell College of Arts has thriving communities of practice. They centre around discipline and their associated workshops. These create a rich and supportive research environment. Our location in Peckham, South London, gives rise to direct engagement with the local community and its lively arts scene.
We have staff fellowships at the Horniman Museum and British School at Rome. We also work with the British School at Athens to provide residency opportunities for our PhD students.

An annual arts residency in Greece offered to practice-based PhD students at UAL. Supported by a bursary with studio and accommodation provided.
The archives and collections at Camberwell College of Arts have a strong focus on illustration and fine art. They include a significant collection of books about the illustrator, educationalist and social reformer Walter Crane. They are also home to the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA) Collection, which was used to teach modern, ‘good design’ in London schools.
