UAL Level 4 Fashion Business and Retail

The UAL Level 4 Diplomas in Fashion Business and Retail has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress into higher education or further training. The skills developed throughout the qualification may also support students intending to progress directly into employment in the fashion retail sector.

These 5 qualifications offer broad but in-depth knowledge and skills in preparation for work in the fashion retail sector. The qualification has been designed to balance practical and creative skills with theoretical studies. Work placement opportunities and industry-led projects are key elements of these qualifications, and will support students to gain a comprehensive understanding of employment opportunities in the sector.

Withdrawal Notification

UAL Awarding Body have decided to withdraw the following qualifications from Ofqual’s Register of Regulated Qualifications, by the end of the 2023–2024 academic year:

  • UAL Level 4 Diploma in Merchandising for Fashion Retail (603/3272/4)

Our registration window for the 2023–2024 academic year has now closed and we are not accepting new centre or learner registrations for this qualification.

We have made this difficult decision because the ESFA have included this qualification in the list for de-funding from 2025 onwards.  Key stakeholders have been informed and we will work closely with them to ensure that no learners are adversely affected by this.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who developed, supported, delivered, and took these qualifications.
