Sir John Soane's Museum

Sir John Soane’s Museum commissioned Wimbledon BA Theatre and Screen students to reinvent characters and events from Whitehall during the 17th century.

Students brought detailed historical and masque costume designs to life through performances at a fundraising event for the museum, which was held at Banqueting House in Whitehall, London.

“The fabulous Baroque costumes created by students from Wimbledon College of Arts made our event really special by injecting a real sense of theatre.” - Tim Knox FSA, Director, Sir John Soane’s Museum.

The costumes also featured in an exhibition at Sir John Soane’s Museum the following week.
