The annual London College of Fashion (LCF) Enterprise Challenge, now in its 9th year, is fast approaching! Our business ideas competition is designed to support entrepreneurial students, helping them become the next generation of innovators.

This year, the competition saw an impressive number of applications, all showcasing talented innovative ventures from our LCF students and recent graduates. Our panel of expert short-listing judges, from Mango, Eyes on Talent and Dazed Media, narrowed the submissions down to 5 finalists, who will all compete for a share of £10,000.

The diversity of ideas in the pitch submissions, from social enterprises tackling pressing societal challenges to commercial ventures bringing new solutions to the market, truly shows the breadth of knowledge and talent within the LCF community. Finalists will go on to pitch their ideas to our panel of esteemed judges on Thursday, 19 June at LCF's East Bank campus, demonstrating their vision, business potential, and impact:

The 5 business ideas represent a diverse mix of social and commercial creative enterprises, each with the potential to make a significant impact. With just a few weeks until the annual LCF Enterprise Challenge 2025, let's meet this year's finalists making waves in the industry.

'Food Fetish' | Lancy Liu | BA (Hons) Creative Direction for Fashion

Food Fetish is a sensory design studio that uses food as a medium for storytelling, emotion, and connection. We create avant-garde culinary experiences such as edible installations, interactive dining, and sculptural tablescapes that invite people to engage with food beyond taste. For us, food is not just nourishment; it is a language for expressing identity and imagination.

What value proposition does your business offer to your targeted audience?

At the heart of our studio is a commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration. We work with creatives from fashion, art, and music to co-create immersive narratives that engage all the senses. Each project becomes a conversation between form, flavour, and feeling, transforming the act of eating into a participatory experience that surprises and connects.

Why is your business idea needed?

More than events, Food Fetish is also a platform for creative visibility. Through this experimental space, I aim to spotlight emerging talents and offer them new ways to be seen, whether by showcasing their work to wider audiences or by opening doors to industry collaboration. By turning the table into a stage, we create room for play, exchange, and bold ideas to unfold.

Why are you excited to be a part of the LCF Enterprise Challenge 2025?

Being part of the Enterprise Challenge 2025 feels deeply personal. It is not just a competition, but a space where my creative practice is seen, supported, and challenged. With the guidance of mentors and a community of visionary peers, I am excited to refine the vision behind Food Fetish and take it to the next level. This is a rare opportunity to turn something experimental into something impactful, and to share that journey with others who believe in the power of creative change.
