Under the Freedom of Information Act (2000), the University of the Arts London (UAL) and other publicly funded bodies are required to have a Publication Scheme.
UAL Publication Scheme shows what information is freely available to the public, how it can be accessed and who to contact.
If the information requested isn't available in the scheme, you can make a request to our Information Governance team. You should make your request in writing and we will respond within 20 working days.

Guidance on FOI requests
For a faster response, ensure your FOI request is:
- simple
- specific
- in plain English.
Avoid over-complicated language or AI-generated phrasing that could make it harder to understand. Include details such as:
- type of information (e.g. a policy)
- timeframe (e.g. published between 2022-2023)
- whether it relates to staff or students.
The more specific you are, the quicker we can respond.
