2D CAD for Interior Design
Join 2D CAD for Interior Design and gain an overview of the key digital drafting and publishing tools required on a daily basis by interior designers. You will learn industry standard software Autodesk AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign.
With a focus on 2D computer aided design (CAD) and publishing for design reports you will be introduced to Autodesk AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign. Following an introduction to the AutoCAD user interface and its toolsets you will be guided through a series of exercises resulting in a set of plans, sections and elevations.
You will then be guided through the process of presenting your interior design plans, sections and elevations within a design report published in Adobe InDesign. The course focuses on an internal space as a working example.
Your skillset using these packages can be further developed with practice following the course.

Simon is the founder of The Mill | Architecture and Interior Design, he is a registered architect and RIBA member.
Simon has eight years professional experience and has been involved in key UK developments from the small boutique fit out for the Monmouth Coffee Company in Borough through to the luxury high-end fit out for Barclays Investment Bank in Canary Wharf, the redevelopment of the BBC in Northern Ireland and the Royal Mint in the City of London.
Simon graduated from the Canterbury School of Architecture with distinction and continues to stay involved in architectural education and teaching. Prior to architectural education his background was in the fine and digital arts which continues to inform his work.
