Located opposite North Acton tube station on the Central line, The Costume Store offers quick and convenient access to UAL Colleges. The UAL Pre-degree Studies site at Lime Grove is 10 minutes away by tube, followed by a short walk. London College of Fashion at East Bank can be reached via a direct tube journey of approximately 60 minutes.
The building is set on the former site of the BBC’s costume collection in North Acton, West London, and offers newly refurbished contemporary ensuite cluster flats as well as spacious self-contained studio accommodation.
The local area includes supermarkets, independent coffee shops, a local pub and a range of food options. It’s within walking distance of North Acton Playing Fields, a green space for recreational sports, as well as Royale Leisure Park, home to a cinema, restaurants, a gym and bowling.

Tenancies for Study Abroad and Exchange students have fixed contract dates, and room prices are different from our standard full-year tenancies. You will have the option to pay your rent in full or choose a termly payment plan when accepting your room offer.

From November 2025 to May 2026, there will be renovation works taking place at The Costume Store to refresh and improve all of the bedrooms and some of the communal spaces.
The Costume Store is managed by UAL, operated in collaboration with its owner, iQ Student Accommodation.
