Fire Safety

Information about fire safety and building evacuation in event of a real fire.

UAL is committed to providing a safe environment for students, staff and visitors and ensuring adequate resources for the management of fire safety throughout the University. For further information please read the UAL Fire Policy, which you can download from the link on this page.

Emergency evacuation procedures

Please familiarise yourself with the emergency evacuation procedures for the UAL site that you are based at and for the sites that you visit regularly. Please click on the drop-downs below for details. Each site also has a General Emergency Evacuation Procedure (GEEP) which should be read in conjunction with the Fire Evacuation Procedure for your site. The GEEP describes the plans that need to be put in place for visitors who may need assistance to evacuate, due to a disability or health condition for example.

If you have any evacuation requirements, for example if you need assistance in getting down the stairs, please discuss this with your tutor / Course Leader in order to put in place a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).
