Designing Presentations With Word and Powerpoint (Weekend)
Complex messages do not necessarily have to be complicated.
This two-day weekend course will concentrate on visual display of information using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint software.
Participants will be introduced to fundamentals of graphic design and information architecture and consequently learn to present data in a hierarchized, structured and visually accessible manner.
Short practical exercises involving work with text and imagery will result in production of a final Word and PowerPoint presentation containing legibly and concisely arranged information.
Level and entry requirements
The course is open to everyone wishing to explore Word and PowerPoint as tools for comprehensive presentations. You do not need to be fluent in these programmes to attend the course however you will need basic computer skills.
Please note: This course is for students aged 18 and older
Olga Surawska is a designer with background in visual communication, industrial design and fine art, exploring interdisciplinary collaborations within professional practice. She worked as an art director at Leo Burnett, as a product designer at McCann Worldgroup and as a freelance graphic designer before pursuing MA Communication Design course at Central Saint Martins. Olga is currently taking a PHD in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins.
