Ports 1961 Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Ports 1961 Scholarship students must be:

• Considered a Home student who is ordinarily resident in the UK (living in or predominantly tied to) the UK for most  of the 3 years before your course is due to start OR
• Considered an International student for tuition fee purposes AND
• Accepted on the full-time MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, UAL starting in October 2022.

Echoing the brand’s propensity for pragmatic and playful combinations, Karl Templer leads fashion, with visual identity by Baron & Baron and global business strategy led by Michela Piva. With this fresh new synergy, PORTS 1961 merges namesake heritage with today’s most forward-thinking creatives — pushing the label into the future.

PORTS 1961 has been supporting students at Central Saint Martins since 2015. The PORTS 1961 MA Fashion Scholarship offers one talented student per year the opportunity to study at a world leading fashion design institution when they may otherwise not have been able to do so."

The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards, tuition fees, course costs and living expenses for Home students and a contribution to tuition fees only for international students.

Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Receiving payment

For Home students, the scholarship will provide a contribution towards tuition fees, course costs and living expenses. For International students, the scholarship will provide a contribution towards tuition fees.

Tuition fees will be paid directly from the award into the University’s Tuition Fees account.

Course costs and living expenses payments (for Home students only) will be paid in termly instalments to the award recipient via BACS.
