Eligibility
To be eligible for the Cordwainers Dato' Jimmy Choo MA Awards, students must be:
- Currently enrolled on the MA Footwear or MA Artefact course at London College of Fashion.
About
In common with other Livery Companies, the Cordwainers Company was, in the early and middle ages, responsible for the governance and quality control of its trade in the City of London and the education and training of craftsmen through the system of apprenticeships. This early involvement in education and training has continued to the present day.
To help ensure the BA (Hons) Cordwainers courses remain open to talented students, regardless of their background and economic circumstances, The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers are pleased to provide bursaries to footwear and artefact students to contribute towards students' final major projects and will be assessed based on academic merit.
A financial prize will be given to two students on the MA Footwear or MA Artefact courses. The firs ward is worth £2000 and the second is worth £1000 and will provide a contribution towards students final major projects.
