We want to hear your views on studying at UAL and what we can do to become an anti-racist institution. Take the Race Equality Charter survey now

In our efforts to become an anti-racist institution, we have committed to undertaking the work towards Advance HE’s Race Equality Charter (REC) as part of our Anti-Racism Strategy and Operational Plan. The REC helps universities to improve the representation, progression and success of Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in higher education.

The REC allows us to make cultural and systemic changes in a strategic way. It provides a framework for organisations to identify and reflect on institutional and cultural barriers standing in the way of Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff and students.

The survey is an important part of making an application to the Advance HE Race Equality Charter. By taking part in the survey, you are adding to our institutional knowledge and helping to identify the areas for improvement, and ways to make change

Visit the survey page and follow the instructions to take the survey. A personalised link to the survey has also been sent to your email.

Why should you take part?

The results of this survey will be included in our application to the Advance HE REC, and if successful, the application will then be published on our website.

The survey results will build on our survey results from 2020 to create a far-reaching understanding of our university culture. We hope you will see your views and ideas reflected within that application and we will also show you how we are acting on the survey results.

This survey is just one of the ways you can get involved. We will be communicating regularly to keep you up to date with the race equality work we are undertaking and seeking your views on future actions. If you would be happy to be contacted for future involvement in this work, please contact the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team at: edi@arts.ac.uk.
