Fabian Maxwell Drake

Biography

Fabian is a designer, animated storyteller, researcher, and aspiring storyboard artist. He is currently a student on the MA Character Animation programme at Central Saint Martins, having previously studied BA Graphic and Media Design at London College of Communication.

Primarily focusing on storytelling, Fabian aims to show the versatility of 2D animation and the use of storyboarding and narration within and beyond animated media. Additionally, he researches the history of TV animation and the evolution of its narratives and visual styles to help craft better stories for new audiences.

Fabian is a member of the Royal Television Society, and the British Association of Film, Television, and Screen Studies. Holding an audiovisual certificate from the Polish Film Institute, he worked with the FINA National Film Archives on delivering immersive film-education for pupils. With his interest in cultural and educational projects, he received a certificate in civic engagement and project delivery under the Embassy of the United States.
