The UAL Hong Kong (UALHK) Alumni Association is currently hosting an exhibition of graduate work at 3812 Gallery in Hong Kong. En Route: UAL HK Alumni Group exhibition will be on display until Friday 17 May 2024.

Over 40 works by 12 artists are on display. The exhibition follows a call out last year. It's been curated by Agnes Wu, from 3812 Gallery, and the UALHK committee.

“The blending of our city's unique cultural fusion has given rise to a vibrant and dynamic art scene that is showcased in this exhibition,” said Agnes.

The works on display showcase the unique artistic vision of Hong Kong. Some are full-time artists, whilst others balance their art practice with other commitments. Their works span a range of mediums and styles, reflecting their individual perspectives and artistic approaches.

At the UALHK Alumni Association, our vision is rooted in the belief that art is a powerful force that can transcend boundaries and connect people from diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to nurture artistic talent and creativity by providing a platform for our alumni to showcase their work, collaborate with one another, and engage with the broader art community in Hong Kong.

— Joanne Chan, President, UALHK Alumni Association
The alumni who have studied in the UK and grown up in Hong Kong bring a distinct blend of cultural backgrounds to their artistic practice, allowing them to reinterpret, combine, and innovate artistic traditions from both worlds. Their work often results in a dynamic and hybrid artistic language that reflects their multicultural experiences.
