UAL Alumni and Prospective Students spend an evening being creative in New York

UAL Alumni & Friends New York Event - Vault 49

Graduates, prospective students and friends of University of the Arts London (UAL) were invited to an interactive evening of creativity, cocktails, and networking at the studios of Vault49 in Manhattan.

Founded by two London College of Communication alumni (Jonathan Kenyon and John Glasgow), Vault49 is a creative design agency specialising in branding, advertising, design and art.

Johnathan, John and the rest of the Vault49 team encouraged everyone to take part in some hands-on art activity as they let the group take over their screen-printing equipment and create some unique artworks. Not only did everyone walk away with their own creation, but also an exclusively designed poster to honour the occasion and UAL’s strong bond with the Big Apple.

The evening also had a competitive edge as a game of darts offered the chance to win some one-off prizes.

This event was the perfect opportunity to welcome new students to the UAL community before they make the move to London later this summer to start their studies at one of UAL’s internationally renowned Colleges. Alumni were able to tell students about their experiences living and studying in London and their careers so far. Bruce Reynolds, President of the UAL East Coast Alumni Association, was also on hand to talk about the supportive alumni community in New York and encouraged everyone to get involved.
