Bold, bright shoes are what LCF alumna Sophia Webster, BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear, does best. The footwear designer responsible for the wonderfully colourful statement shoes, launches a pop-up shop in central London’s Burlington Arcade. Cocktails served in Coconuts, Flamingo statues guarding the entrance, and a pink-neon light that read “Sophia” welcomed the guests at the opening last night, marking the beginning of a six week permanent location.
Sophia graduated form LCF in 2008, where her collection was snapped up by Brown’s. After completing her Masters and working for two years with Nicholas Kirkwood, the shoemaker created her own line which has received much acclaim since its launch last year.
Stocked in some of the most prestigious stores and seen on the feet of everyone from actress Chloe Moretz to Vogue Japan’s Anna Dello Russo and Rihanna, Sophia Webster has developed a fresh approach to footwear and a very sought after label.
