Biography

Monique Johnson is Associate Director, Social Purpose Transformation, at UAL. Having recently designed sustainability programmes for the Jamie Oliver Group, and before that lead on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives at UNISON, Monique is able to draw on a range of perspectives to deliver purpose-driven organisational transformation.

Monique is committed to UAL's mission to embed social purpose into every aspect of our work. She's keen to collaborate with colleagues, students, and partners from a wide range of backgrounds and varying experiences to make this vision a reality.

Beyond UAL, Monique chairs the Women's Environment Network, a climate and social justice charity based in Tower Hamlets. She also serves on the board of the Little Angel Theatre in Islington which amongst other things works with its local community to tackle barriers to arts engagement.
