What should I do if I did not receive an email confirming that I have completed online enrolment?
Check your junk mail folder and if you still have not received a confirmation email you should contact the Student Self Service helpdesk via the contact us button on all Student Self Service screens.

Continuing students Home/EU and International

Continuing Students: Home EU and International

In order to continue your course you must enrol online. Please refer to either Home/EU or International section for general guidance and be aware of the following instructions specific only for Continuing Students?

Continuing Home/EU students

If you are a student progressing from one year to the next on the same course, please make sure to follow all the steps below in order to successfully enrol to continue your course:

Check your UAL enrolment account regularly – complete your online enrolment – follow any instructions from your college about your attendance confirmation.

You’ll be invited to complete your online enrolment by email over the summer and normally you won’t need to attend an enrolment event.

If you are receiving UK government funding (for example, from the SLC), the University will check this. If the status of your funding is not confirmed, your college administration team will contact you for the information they need.

If you are paying your fees yourself, you will need to pay them before the University will finalise your enrolment.

When you return to your course, your attendance will be confirmed by your college administration team. This happens in different ways depending on your course, so make sure you follow any instructions you receive.

Continuing International students

If you are a student progressing from one year to the next on the same course, please make sure to follow all the steps below in order to successfully enrol to continue your course:

Check your UAL enrolment account regularly – complete your online enrolment – attend your enrolment event.

You’ll be invited to complete your online enrolment by email over the summer. Once you have completed this, you will receive an invitation to an enrolment event.

It is important that you attend the enrolment event with the documents you are asked to bring. For most continuing International students, this is their valid passport, visa and proof of tuition fee payment. Your email will tell you what you need to bring with you.

Your enrolment will only be complete when you have attended the enrolment event, paid your fees and shown us all of the documents we need to check.

If you hold a Tier 4 visa and you don’t re-enrol for your course then the University will notify UK Visas and Immigration that your visa should be cancelled.

Students returning after an interruption to study

Students retaking part of their course

If you are returning to your course after an interruption to your study or returning to retake part of your course, you will not enrol online. You will need to attend an enrolment event at the University.

You’ll be emailed instructions over the summer that tell you when and where to re-enrol at the University. This will include whether you need to pay any tuition fees or not. The email will be sent to your UAL email address, so make sure that you check it regularly.

If you are an international student needing a Tier 4 visa, you will need to prepare to apply for your visa well in advance of your return. If you are not sure what you need to do, you should contact your college administration team for information.

Enrolment Events

Before you attend your enrolment event please ensure that you have enrolled online (if applicable). We ask students to attend an enrolment event so that we can check and verify your original documents and check that your immigration status has not changed (if applicable).
