University of the Arts London believes that widening participation to art and design higher education is essential to nurturing the artists and designers of the future.

We work with young people in partner schools and further education colleges in Greater London, whose parent(s) or guardian(s) have not completed a university degree.

Across the year, we run a range of projects- we call this work UAL Insights.

Our Approach

Through partnerships with schools and colleges and in collaboration with cultural organisations, we deliver a range of innovative programmes to inspire and develop creative potential.

Designed in collaboration with tutors from Foundation Diploma and Degree courses, our activities give young people insights and advice on the range of creative subjects available to study at university.

Working together across UAL

Each college at the University has a distinct character and approach to particular subject areas. Our Outreach team is based at sites across the 6 colleges to support young people in making informed decisions about applying and successfully progressing to further or higher education at UAL.
