London College of Fashion has been shortlisted for two Times Higher Education Awards; Business School of the Year for the Fashion Business School, and International Collaboration of the Year with Institut Français de la Mode (France) for the WORTH Project.

Heather Pickard, Acting Dean of the Fashion Business School said:

“This is such fantastic news to be shortlisted for Business School of the Year Award, particularly as the Fashion Business School was only established March 2015. A huge thank you to all staff and students involved with the School.”

The Fashion Business School was shortlisted for its unique approach to business within creative education, and its connections with industry through additional accreditations and its Small Business Charter status. The School has exceptionally strong industry links with many lecturers being industry practitioners and a wealth of paid placement opportunities for students, and this was praised alongside the sustainability and ethics taught across its courses.

The WORTH project created partnerships between designers and skilled SME manufacturers from all over Europe, working with 78 business from 12 different countries to create 35 new and innovative projects, such as Kokoon’s sleep-aiding head phones which raised $2 million crowd funding. LCF worked with Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, and the project culminated in an exhibition at Rook and Raven Gallery Soho.
