By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • You will start to develop an entrepreneurial mindset to help embolden your outlook whether you are a creative freelancer, start an arts/crafts practice, or design business
  • Consider the key aspects of networking and finding opportunities
  • Gain an overview of trends, creative promotion and how to attract attention
  • Have a practical insight into making presentation skills, and how to pitch a proposal or gain commissions
  • How to negotiate, understand the tactics, principles and creative theory
  • Become more confident about yourself and evolve new inter-personal skills
  • Get to heat first hand from a creative entrepreneur, gain an insight into their journey, and ask them questions

Who should take this course?

Artists, makers, designers, photographers or any other creative professionals wishing to develop their entrepreneurship skills.

Level: Beginners

  • Our tutors will explain things in easy to understand, accessible English. If they need to use any special terminology they will make sure they explain what they mean.

  • As long as you attend a minimum of 80% of your classes, we will provide you with a certificate of attendance.

Materials

Please bring:

  • Day 1 and 2: A Sketch/note book wit pen or pencil (comfortable size)

On day 2, some examples of your work/2-3 print outs if possible. Failing this we can view images on a table or laptop, or phone.
