The BA14 Media Exhibition opens today featuring work from across our School of Media and Communication. As part of our Class of 2014 series we are showcasing the work of graduating students whose work will be featured in the exhibition.  Here BA (Hons) Fashion: Styling and Photography (Top-Up) student Curtly Thomas discusses the importance of collaboration and keeping your work fresh and new.

LCF: What have you enjoyed most about studying at LCF?
Curtly Thomas: The diverse technology available and one on ones with specific tutors – Fiona Minors and Mikel Mewis.

LCF: Have you won any prizes / been in the media / undertaken work experience?
CT: I art directed/styled and cast my first presentation at LC:M AW14 Fashion East for LCF alumni Roxanne Farahmand

LCF: What inspires you?
CT: Living /life/london/club culture

LCF: What is most important to you about fashion?
CT: Constructing image and the representation of difference

LCF: How would you sum up your final project?
CT: An ode to the club and the culture I represent – streetcouture

LCF: What are your plans for the future? And how do you feel your course will help you?
CT: I plan to continue in a collaborative nature and work on specific projects, the course allowed me to explore the ideas I wanted and gave me space to create and investigate ideas with new mediums.

LCF: What advice would you give someone wanting to study for a BA at LCF?
CT: Work with what you have in front of you, in your home, friends family; representing this in your work will keep it new and fresh.
