Professional recognition is an important distinction of quality. Courses in the Fashion Business School are accredited by the British Display Society, British Psychological Society, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Chartered Management Institute, Market Research Society and the Textile Institute.

The Fashion Business School is an active member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools, Small Business Charter, Enterprise Educators UK, the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education initiative, The Academy of Marketing, AACSB Business Education Alliance and The Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry. The Academy of Marketing

The Academy of Marketing is a Learned Society for marketing researchers, educators and professionals. The organisation’s primary purpose is the advancement of Marketing knowledge as an academic discipline and profession. The Fashion Business School’s affiliation to the Academy of Marketing supports our research and curriculum development in this discipline.

The Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry

The ASBCI is the largest fashion and textile student association in the UK. London College of Fashion students on qualifying courses benefit from Premier Membership of the ASBCI offering valuable links with industry and future graduate employers. ASBCI is a unique association of members representing connections with and knowledge of all the key sectors of the fashion industry. Membership informs the Fashion Business School of new technical and commercial practices and processes as well as government and external developments that may impact on the Fashion industry.

Member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools

The Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) is the authoritative voice of business and management education in the UK. CABS supports members to maintain world-class standards of teaching and research, and help shape policy and create opportunities through dialogue with business and government. LCF achieved Association of Business School membership in 2008.

Chartered Management Institute Approved Centre

Chartered Manager is the highest status that can be achieved in the management profession. Awarded solely by the CMI, the only chartered awarding organisation for leadership and management, it's recognised and valued across all sectors. As a CMI Approved Centre the Fashion Business School endorses applications on the Exemption Route to Chartered Manager.

Enterprise Educators UK

LCF and UAL have become members of Enterprise Educators UK to enhance our students' education in enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation in the creative industries as well as adding credibility and authenticity to what we already do.

Principles of Responsible Management Education

LCF is a signatory member of the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative in line with our outstanding work in championing social responsibility and sustainability in our core business of teaching, learning and research. PRME is a community of business and management schools that are committed to transforming business education in order to develop future business leaders so that they have the skills needed to advance sustainable development. LCF adheres to the PRME six principles, which lay the foundation for the global platform for responsible management education.

The Small Business Charter

The Small Business Charter, which brings leading business schools and SME communities across the UK together, has awarded the Fashion Business School with Small Business Charter status, in recognition of its active participation in supporting start-ups and small businesses. University business schools with Small Business Charter awards have already directly helped over 8000 small businesses, providing a range of support including on-site incubators with dedicated space for students and small businesses to start up and grow. There are currently 36 business schools that hold a Small Business Charter Award.

International Apparel Federation

The International Apparel Federation is a world leading trade association whose membership includes national clothing associations and companies whose core business is sourcing, designing, development, manufacturing, distribution, and retailing of apparel products.

Course accreditations

British Display Society

BA (Hons) Fashion Visual Merchandising and Branding is recognised by the British Display Society as a UK ‘Centre of Excellence’: graduates may receive the award of ProDip.BDS upon successful completion of the course and students may be members of the British Display Society whilst studying at LCF.

British Psychological Society

The MSc Applied Psychology in Fashion and BSc (Hons) Psychology of Fashion, within the fashion Business School, are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Accreditation is a high quality benchmarking process that promotes psychology as a science and offers the opportunity for graduates to gain Graduate and/or Chartered membership of the Society.

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is the world’s leading, and largest, professional body in this field. MSc Strategic Fashion Management is accredited by CIMA, providing students with the opportunity to graduate with a dual award: their degree and the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (Cert BA). Achieving the certificate enhances graduate employability and provides a direct entry route to a CIMA professional qualification.

Chartered Institute of Marketing

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is the leading professional body for marketers worldwide and exists to develop the marketing profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners. London College of Fashion has joined forces with the CIM to give students the opportunity to gain professional qualifications through the CIM Accredited Degree partnership. CIM qualifications are highly sought after by employers, and their content is reflected in our own degrees which ensures we are equipping students with the best opportunities for a successful marketing career. The Awarding Body at The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has commended London College of Fashion three times for the excellent standard of results achieved for assessments submitted in the July 2021, July 2022 and July 2023 assessments sessions for the Digital Marketing Techniques module of the Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.

Chartered Management Institute

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is recognised by Royal Charter as the professional body for managers in the UK, providing qualifications to equip members with the knowledge, skills and understanding they will need in order to develop a successful career in senior management. Many of our fashion management courses are mapped to CMI qualifications, enabling students to graduate with a CMI award in addition to their degree at no extra cost.

Market Research Society

The Market Research Society (MRS) is the UK professional body for research, insight and analytics. Fashion Business School is an MRS Accredited Centre to deliver the MRS Certificate in Market Research (MRS Certificate). Our UG course BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Consumer Behavior is mapped to the MRS syllabus; students may graduate with the MRS Certificate in Market Research in addition to their degree.

The Textile Institute

Internationally recognised, the Textile Institute is the chartered professional body for all the textile, clothing and footwear industries. Our MA Fashion Design Management and BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising have been awarded Associateship level accreditation, CText ATI, and LCF enjoys corporate membership. The Textile Institute brings together professionals from around the world in an association that is simultaneously a body setting professional standards, a learned society advancing knowledge and industry practice, an interactive network and a social community. Its aim is to promote professionalism in all areas associated with the textile industries worldwide.
