Biography
Ruth Malton has worked in the fashion industry for 20 years and has extensive Buying and Merchandising experience with world renowned brands such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Christian Louboutin and Paul Smith. She currently works as an independent consultant, specializing in supporting Start up and SME sized, premium fashion brands, with strategic brand development and commercial growth.
Ruth combines her consulting work with being an Associate Lecturer at the Fashion Business School. She is passionate about supporting the next generation of the fashion industry, and enjoys sharing her knowledge through mentorship, supervision, coaching, and teaching. Ruth has delivered guest lectures on the business of fashion at other institutions including Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and University for the Creative Arts. Ruth holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and was awarded a scholarship by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to study an MA in Fashion.
