Fashion Business Semester
A London College of Fashion course aimed at business students wanting to know about the mechanics of the fashion industry and fashion students needing to know more about fashion business.
Working individually and in small creative teams, you will investigate a fashion or beauty market, explore changing consumer behaviours and examine how brands build identity, community and cultural relevance. You will consider how contemporary campaigns connect across social media, creators and influencers, PR, events, retail, partnerships and other physical and digital touchpoints.
Through lectures, workshops, field research and industry insight, you will be introduced to approaches used by fashion marketers and communicators to research audiences, develop ideas, tell compelling stories and understand the impact of their work. You will apply your research and insights to develop a creative, multi-channel marketing and content campaign in response to a brand opportunity. The emphasis is not simply on producing content, but on understanding what to communicate, who you are communicating with, where it should appear and why.
You will also be encouraged to consider how climate, culture, inclusion and social responsibility are shaping contemporary fashion communication and consumer expectations. The course culminates in a collaborative presentation and showcase, giving you the opportunity to communicate your ideas, receive feedback and celebrate your work alongside the wider Summer Study Abroad community.
