3D Workshop
The 3D Workshop offers a wide range of equipment and materials to help you develop physical projects from initial concept to final production, using a wide range of materials and techniques, supported by experienced technicians.
Facilities include laser cutting, 3D printing and scanning facilities. Our experienced technicians are onsite to guide you as you explore all kinds of 3D making techniques.
Please note: From September 2027, London College of Communication will be moving to our new building, just across the road from our current site. Technical Resources and facilities are subject to change. Find out more about our new building, opening in September 2027.
Making and Fabrication
Dedicated wood and plastics areas provide facilities for cutting, shaping, forming and assembling components. The wide range of equipment you’ll have access to includes:
- Industry-standard machinery
- Hand tools
- A specialist spray booth for painting and finishing models and prototypes
Digital Fabrication
Use digital fabrication technologies to turn concepts into prototypes, models and finished work. This space includes the following equipment:
- Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printer
- Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer
- Full-colour 3D printer
- Clay 3D printer
- Laser cutters
- 3-axis CNC router table
- CNC plotter cutter
