London Fashion Week Men’s came to a close yesterday. Each season highlights the creative and commercial importance of British men’s fashion. From established brands to emerging talent, the shows, presentations and events showcase the breadth of UK based talent.

Our LCFMA18 Menswear show kicked off this year’s London Fashion Week Men’s events, with a dazzling show at St. John’s Smith Square. As always, an abundance of LCF alumni, and brands that have come through the Centre for Fashion Enterprise at LCF also showed their collections, Here are some of our faves.

Bethany Williams

Bethany presented her latest collection and told the story of the ground-breaking work she’s doing with LCF at San Patrignano rehabilitation community in Italy. Beth has been teaching textile production skills to women as part of a wider project. Fabrics were created using waste materials from the factory, to find new ways to create fully recycled and sustainable textile solutions.

Liam Hodges

Liam Hodges showed his “Everybody’s Free” AW18 collection, which was a hommage to 90s rave culture, featuring patchwork suiting, FILA sneakerboots, cartoon graphics, tartan trousers and an oversized double-breasted suit covered in badges. The brand is one of many that have come through LCF’s Centre for Fashion Enterprise.

Blood Brother

Blood Brother’s show was described by Hunger Magazine as Shameless, garish luxury was the order of the day at Blood Brother AW18. Set against a National Lottery inspired set with Madonna’s ‘Lucky Star’ booming from the speakers, the brand explored our pursuit of instant gratification and all the trappings of excess with a gloriously witty, opulent new collection.”

The Bespoke Tailoring alumni behind the brand GuČas Morgan hosted a portable presentation. Their collection draws on their knowledge of specific elements of tailoring, craft, and decoration, and reworking these aspects into wearable and accessible garments.

Other brands that have come through the CFE at LCF include: Cottweiler, Phoebe English MAN, Lou Dalton, Art School, Christopher Raeburn, Alex Mullins, Wales Bonner, Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, Craig Green, Per Gotesson and Nicholas Daley.
