Biography

Mirsini Trigoni is passionate about visual storytelling and the ways brands, images and spaces influence how we think, feel and engage with the world around us. As a Senior Lecturer, her expertise spans visual communication and visual persuasion, branding and visual storytelling, retail environments and consumer engagement, window display design and visual merchandising, and fashion media. She holds a PhD in Design and Visual Communication and brings together academic research, industry insight and creative practice in her teaching.

Committed to combining critical thinking with hands on learning, Mirsini delivers workshops in areas including model making, prop making, hand drawing, set design and material experimentation. Her teaching encourages students to develop both conceptual understanding and practical skills while building the confidence to engage with professional creative practice.

Mirsini has established a range of industry partnerships and live projects, providing students with opportunities to work on real world challenges. Collaborations have included Ren Skincare, Tracey Neuls (premium footwear brand), Ingmarson (ethical knitwear), Wolf & Badger (global multi-channel retailer), and Oxfam Charity, helping students gain valuable industry experience and enhance their employability.

Alongside her teaching, Mirsini is active in research and knowledge exchange, contributing to international conferences and publications in the fields of fashion communication and visual text analysis, branding and visual culture. She received the Best Research Paper Award at the 2nd International Colloquium on Design, Branding and Marketing.

Through the Erasmus programme, she has taught at institutions including KHIO (Oslo), KEA (Copenhagen), LCI–FD Moda (Barcelona) and NABA (Milan), working with international cohorts of students and academic colleagues. She has also delivered short courses at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Mirsini is dedicated to supporting students' professional growth, helping them develop strong portfolios, engage with industry opportunities, gain work experience and build the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in the creative industries.
