Biography

Jordan Jon Hodgson is the Course Leader for MA Design for Art Direction at London College of Communication. He is an accomplished designer working within the space of research, digital design, aesthetics, and the built environment.

He trained in Architecture receiving his MA from the Royal College of Arts, and upon graduating established his own independent creative studio named House of JonN, which later transitioned in name to Jordan Jon Hodgson. The studio received a one year residency at the Hospital Club and the studio and Jordan were nominated and were awarded numerous prizes.

Jordan Jon has worked with a consortium of highly respected institutions and individuals such as the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), the Design Museum, the Hospital Club, the White Cube Gallery, Selfridges, Old Vic, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, 3D Print Show, The Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre, Lily Vanilli Bakery, Alain de Botton, and Daniel Sannwald Photography.

Jordan Jon's work has been widely published from pop-culture mainstream magazines including VOGUE, GQ, DazedandConfused, ID, to design magazine such as ICON, Blueprint, architectural journals and book publication including Digital Hinterlands and a Religion for Atheists. The later publication being a product of a collaborative relationship with the philosopher Alain de Botton on a series of atheist temples.

Jordan Jon has also completed 3 years working in Inclusive Design Research at the RCA Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design. His Creative Direction often applies a strong critique and future speculation on what is to come next in society.
