MA Public Relations student wins European Master Thesis Award
Lucille Cotman-Morrison was named winner of the 2022 Practical Impact Award for the best Master’s thesis in public relations.
MA Public Relations student Jasmine Denike has been named joint-winner of PR Academy’s #PRstudent #CreatorAwards22.
Replacing the long-running Student Blogger competition, the #PRstudent #CreatorAwards22 aim to identify examples of creative content that support a student’s personal brand and might also appeal to employers.
”The challenge is to create content that engages with an audience, and to bring this content to the attention of the wider industry. In other words, it’s Public Relations 101 explored through social media,” according to Richard Bailey of Leeds Beckett University and PR Academy, which organises the awards.
Jasmine Denike stood out by building a large following for her crisp and stylish daily account of life in London during her MA year at London College of Communication (LCC), which she documents on TikTok.
“I was posting on TikTok throughout my time on the course,” said Jasmine.
“This award has given me positive recognition and a profile at national level, which is useful – and I encourage other LCC students to enter the Content Creator Awards in future.”
