Beverley Carruthers wins Education Award at Royal Photographic Society Awards

BA (Hons) Photography Course Leader Beverley Carruthers has won the Education Award and been granted an Honorary Fellowship 141st Royal Photographic Society's Awards.

In winning the Education Award, Carruthers is recognised as providing an outstanding contribution to photographic education. This includes exceptional course development and management in combination with inspirational teaching in the field.

The RPS Awards were established in 1878. The awards now span the fields of art, science, education, film and publishing. The 16 awards are due to be presented on 13 November at the Royal Society in London.

Recent RPS award recipients have included BA (Hons) photography graduate Juno Calypso, as well as Martin Parr, Annie Leibovitz and Sir David Attenborough.
