Biography

Oliver Sellwood is an Associate Lecturer on BA (Hons) Music Production at LCC and a London-based composer, sound designer and performer whose works combine acoustic musical instruments with electronic technology in live performance. Alongside writing concert music, he has written for film, theatre and dance. His music has been performed at venues and festivals across the UK and Europe, the USA, and Mexico, including Kings Place, St John’s Smith Square, The Southbank, The Horniman Museum, and The Place, as well as on BBC R3, R4 and R6.

Oliver has a PhD from the University of Southampton, an MA from Kingston University, a BA from the University of Sussex, and a teaching degree from the University of East London.

Oliver has played worldwide as a baritone saxophonist, including festival sets at Glastonbury Festival, ArcTanGent, and The O2 Arena.

He has also written, recorded, and co-produced albums for A Sweet Niche and appeared as a guest performer on records released by Profound Lore Records, Inside Out Records (Sony), New Heavy Sounds, and Bad Elephant Music.

Oliver has over ten years of HE and FE experience leading lectures, classes, seminars and workshops in his specialist subject areas of composition, production, analysis, music theory, and performance.
