Journalism degrees at LCC
Make your mark in the journalism sector
Journalism at LCC is underpinned by a commitment to practice as a basis for developing skills. Our courses reflect the contemporary environment of multi-platform journalism, and enable you to produce work in a range of genres and styles. At the heart of this is Artefact, our multimedia publication, which is produced in a professional newsroom environment and includes a high-quality, full-colour magazine, a website, social media channels, podcasts and videos. Employability is embedded through guest speakers and tutors, mentoring schemes, and our annual 'Meet the Experts' event, while we also help students to develop freelance and entrepreneurial skills. Student work is regularly published in media outlets including the Guardian, Vice, Metro, Vogue, Huff Post, Dazed and Refinery 29.
