Course description

Course overview

Anatomy drawings and anatomy sketches are a great tool and resource for artists to use to document the human form and use as a reference for future paintings and drawings. It can be a very useful skill in strengthening an artist's storytelling ability through this classical art form.

During this 5-week evening course at Central Saint Martins, you will work on traditional life drawing skills to capture the 3D body in various poses and forms and its makeup. This skill can make a big difference in your drawing ability and skills development!

This course offers direct practical help and a structured approach for those wishing to approach figure drawing for the first time or for those looking to refresh their skills.

Anne Noble-Partridge

Anne Noble-Partridge studied Fine Art at St Albans School of Art and has been Director of London Drawing since 2006, working with major institutions across London including Tate Modern, The V&A, The National Gallery and The Royal Academy of Arts.

Anne teaches life drawing at London College of Communication, Royal School of Speech and Drama, and Imperial College- also teaching industry life drawing for animation with Industrial Light Magic, Framestore, Jagex, Creative Assembly and Escape Studios.

With over 20 years experience in teaching life drawing and creative practice- Anne's teaching centres around clear and structured teaching, demonstrations and creative exploration- building confidence and encouraging students to develop their own creative through language careful observation, honing of skills and exploration of materials.

Anne is also Director at the Crypt Gallery St Pancras Church Euston.

David Price

David Price studied at Edinburgh School of Art, the University of Newcastle and The Royal College of Art. He is a practicing artist who in 2009 was selected for New Contemporaries. David has a PGCE teaching certificate and over 15 years of experience teaching drawing and fine art.
