As part of our current exhibition 'A Common Thread', join us for a Mend and Repair Weekend in the Lethaby Gallery.

’Living Lines’ a workshop hosted by the exhibiting artist Charlie Butterfield in collaboration with Lifefabs at the Lethaby Gallery.

Referencing Charlie’s own work, 'Living Lines', participants will be invited to create their own 'living line' design, by setting up a Wheat Seed Growing Kit.

Suitable for all ages, with younger audiences invited will be able to wash the seeds and layering them with soil, while more mature participants will be able to carve their own patterns into beeswax pellets, that the roots as they grow will then mold into.

Lino Cutting tools will be provided, and for the smaller children collaboration between child and parent will be encouraged, one to draw and one to carve. The kit are made to take home, so that participants can see their seeds growing, and follow the shaping of the roots.

This event is free and open to all.
