Join us at London College of Fashion for a panel discussion on the present and future of fashion psychology!

It has now been 11 years since London College of Fashion welcomed the first students on its psychology of fashion courses. This event brings together editors and contributing authors of the landmark publication Applied Psychology in Fashion: A Research-Informed Approach (Palgrave Macmillan, 2026) to discuss how far the field of fashion psychology has come since then, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead.

The event will start with a “making of” presentation by the editors, introducing the book and the journey that led to it. This will be followed by a panel discussion providing the opportunity to learn more about the applications of psychology to understanding topics such as fashion in relation to sex, gender, and disability inclusion; the impact of fashion industry practices on the mental health of consumers and the industry workforce; the relevance of dress for well-being; consumer behaviour; sustainability; and digital fashion. It will also focus on the future of fashion psychology as a discipline.

Panel members include:

Dr Soljana Çili (LCF)

Dr Ameerah Khadaroo (LCF)

Dr Jekaterina Rogaten (LCF)

Dr Mason Silveira (LCF)

This event is free and open to all. The talk will run 5.30-7pm, followed by a drinks reception 7-8pm.

The event will take place in the Lecture Theatre (M01) on the Mezzanine floor.
