Fashion journalism, communication, marketing, and creative direction students will explore the evolving world of fashion media and learn the skills needed for successful reporting. Hear from Amy Francombe — Contributing Editor at Vogue Business — as she shares her experiences writing for leading publications, exploring how to tell compelling stories, build your voice, and develop the skills needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced media landscape.

This is an interactive session, so any questions about writing, pitching ideas, or building a career in fashion media — please bring them along to discuss.

Speakers:

Amy Francombe is a London-based journalist, editor and consultant. She is currently a Contributing Editor at Vogue Business and was part of the founding team behind the 2019 relaunch of The Face, as well as Deputy Editor of The Basement, a youth-first publication she helped launch. She also writes the Substack amy_coded.

Her work spans print, digital and video, with bylines in i-D, The Evening Standard, GQ, Dazed, The Independent Wired and Elle. Her reporting explores the intersection of fashion, culture and technology, with an emphasis on the business of the creative industries.
