Gareth Edwards has spent 20 years working in the fashion industry, recently making a transition to academia. Upon graduating from CSM with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication and Promotion, Gareth began his career as a stylist for various fashion publications, before making a move into public relations.
During his career, Gareth has developed creative communication campaigns and global strategies for a host of brands, including Assouline, Longchamp, Sergio Rossi, Falke and Melissa. His talent lies in supporting the growth of independent designers through impactful show and event production; VIP and influencer strategies; and securing press coverage with relevant media.
Throughout his career, Gareth has mentored young individuals navigating the fashion industry, knowledge which he now shares with his current students. His role as Employability Lead for the course and wider programme, offers an opportunity to support students in securing internships and gaining industry experience. As a lecturer, his professional interests include supporting an inclusive industry and contemporary communication in an evolving landscape.
